I get this error message at the game main menu player are still fine however it won't remeber multiplayer controls, sensitivity, or brightness so every time i get on i have to change them.

But isn't it over writing the save profile data anyway? I lose my save file everytime even when signed on downloaded the second assault game update logged off then went back to download map pack, didn't play the game but it still corrupted from just stating the game closing it and starting again

HELP!!!! Every time I start BF4 I will get this error message: "Your player profile has been damaged, and some things cannot be recovered." Awards, textures, designs, sensitivity, and all important profile data are locked - although I can see them being unlocked at the same time on the PC at Battlelog.com!!!This S****T started happening, I think, after the last update that was done - I want to say maybe a week or two ago.Please, FIX this BULLCRAP error!!! Very, VERY ANNOYING!

Found the solution (xBox 360) for BF4 game:I deleted my user data from the hard drive, and then booted up the game again. I was then prompted to sign into my EA account again.My user data is/was all backed up server side as well as on battlelog.The only problem with this method is/was, you will probably have to set up all your loadouts again. But better having to do it only ONCE more than having to do it EVERY time you play the game.Hope that helps you!

okay man, ill try it. i wish someone from EA would give me this suggestion, instead of not replying to anything people post on this forum. this is seriously wack customer service. like, horrendous even. basically the worst.

Maybe it doesn't work for everyone but, it does for me.

1. Turn on your 360. Do not start bf4
2. Delete your player profile data, and clear the cache.
3. Start bf4, make all of your adjustments. When your done the game should ask you if you want to save the changes...yes you do.
3. Exit the game
4. Insert a USB thumb drive.
5. Find your player profile data file and copy it to the thumb drive (a cloud account might also work if no thumb drive is available. I cannot confirm that)
6. Leave the thumb drive in your 360, and start the game, or turn your 360 off, then start bf4.
7. When the game starts you should be prompted to "select a device".
8. Select the main 360 hard drive. Do not select the memory unit or cloud saved game if you used that.
9. The game should say "loading player profile...ext"

All, or most, of your settings should be in tact, and no more error.

Do not move your player profile data, only copy it. I made all of my adjustments on the test range before copying the profile to my thumb drive.

Again, this may not work for everyone. Good luck...hope this helps at least one person. 🙂

I was the fool who bought second assault after having so many issues with freezing in China Rising. I never had an issue with a corrupted profile until I downloaded Second Assault. This game so far has been more frustrating then fun. I tried the fix of deleting my saved profile. That didn't work. I'm going to try backing up my profile on a USB and see how that works. EA should give all of us the next expansion free for all this headache. Even when I was able to play Second Assault the game kept freezing. Not fun.😕mileyfrustrated:
