Battlefield 4 flickering screen issue 1 SOLUTION nvidia

Hi There,

I would like to share my thoughts on resolving the Battlefield 4 flickering screen issue 1.

1. You know that there are some steps to make, like reverting back to 331.65 with a clean installation and apply optimezed game settings withing geforce experience.

2. Another thing what you could do is delete the battefield directx folder and keeping just 4 files of the directx basic install and choose repair installation. (click here)

But after reverting to my system image and suspecting windows updates to cause this issue (which is not the cause) I've tried something else that worked.

Starting the game:

You see, my BF4 sometimes opens in a 'WINDOWED' screen, you can see the title bar. And my screen was flickering.

But when I clicked on the screen it wanted to go fullscreen (with title bar) and I could do nothing.

3. So instead i've pressed CTRL ESC and highlighted the title bar of the BF4 window. Selected with my keypad the options, and with my mouse I clicked on video settings, pressed CTRL ESC again and with my keyboard i've selected to set the video to FULL SCREEN and with the keyboard applied settings, hit the ENTER key when it asked me to apply these video settings.

I've did an ESC which took me back to the deploy screen, and I could happely play after messing arround with this issue for 2 evenings.

Little note: you can come across the windowed issue, when you have virtualisation software installed, like vmware.
