Battlefield 4 Infinite black loading screen.

Hi,

So recently I have been getting an issue for BF4. I mean it never fixed itself. And the problem is that Whenever I launch the game it's at a black loading screen. The thing is I can play BF1 and BFH perfectly fine.

Things I have done:

Run the game as Administrator

Run Origin as Administrator

Disable Origin in game

Origin Cloud Storage turn it off

Deleting Documents. Don't have profsave_profile since I never got to the main menu...

Repairing

Uninstalling and reinstalling

Giving all abilities to edit through Firewall

Changed from x64 to x86

Launched through Battlelog.

Perform a clean boot.

Reinstall PunkBuster and newest version. (Go to Punk Buster site
http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php)

Running Battlefield 4.exe and Battlefield 4 x86.exe in compatibility for windows 8

Update GPU Drivers.

Updating verdict and DirectX

Disabled User account control in control panel

Changed to Origin Beta.

Disabled GPU accelerated PhysX in Nvidia control panel.

Added BF4 to the punk buster.

Adobe Flash Player update

  • @RPD_XW33DX ok I know you did some of this but to try and fix this make sure all of this is up to date as well as if this does not fix this then post your PC specs please...

Check your firewall to be sure it is open to the game and not blocking it.

    Try this ...

Note : You may experience a black screen when launching Battlefield 4 while using the Windows Aero theme with DPI scaling set to 150% or 200%

Go to my documents and battlefield 4 folder delete it.
Open origin go to BF4 game right mouse click it repair game.
Once done then pick update game when done test BF4

Latest version of DirectX see this page
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35

    Reinstall Microsoft C++
NOTE>>> you need to select the x64 or the x86 file depending on what architecture your computer has. To find this out, Click Start, right click on "Computer" and select "Properties". Under system type is should say "32-Bit Operating System" or "64-bit Operating System". If 32-bit operating system, download the x86 file, and if 64-bit download the x64 file.

    Adobe Flash Player update

    Reboot PC test BF4

Try to run the game as Administrator as well.
Right-click the game executable or shortcut and select "Run as administrator".

Still no go???? Ok keep trying and do these

    Perform a clean boot.

    Other things to do...

Open up a Windows Explorer folder and navigate to C:\Program Files(x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4, and find a file called user.cfg and open it with Notepad.
Note if you do not have this file, you will be unable to perform this workaround.

Find and delete the line that reads UI.DrawEnable, then save and close your config and start your game and you should no longer be experiencing this crash.

  • @RPD_XW33DX please give this a try ....

Re- install origin only not your game just origin.

    1. Uninstall Origin completely from Windows Control Panel.
    2. Reboot your PC. This is important to clear out any lingering registry files or directories.
    3. Download the latest here: http://origin.com/download
    4. Install Origin You should not be prompted to update.

Check your firewall to be sure it is open to the game and not blocking it.

Please put bf4 back to 64bit..

Make Sure BF4 is set to 64bit if your windows is 64bit
1- open origin and go to My Games
2-Right click BF4 and go to Game Properties
3-Under when launching this game set it to x64 and check off disable origin in game.
4- Hit apply REBOOT your PC and then test your BF4

    Reboot PC

If all this still failed to fix it the try this step below please

    C:\Users\your PC Name\Documents\Battlefield 4

BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.

1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop for now.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF4
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BF4.
