Battlefield 4 Install

I purchased the physical copy of Battlefield 4 however when i go to install it, it will download from origin. And i know that it is downloading from origin and not my discs because after SIX hours of downloading, it was only at 23% completion. I know it is not an issue of my PC being incapable. I have an i7, 8GB of RAM, 64-bit OS and over a TB of storage available. So I know the hardware/software is not the issue. If anybody knows how to fix this, your help would be very appreciated.

  • If you buy the physical copy of BF4 all that happens when you 'download' is that it verifies all the files on your disc. It shouldn't take too long.

You firewall could be blocking install or your internet connection. Check both.

How exactly do you install it? Do you start the setup from the DVD?
  • Hi, yes you start from the DVD. You just put in Disc 1 and it should begin auto-install.

If it doesn't start automatically then go to START icon on your desktop and type in the search bar D:\AutoRun.exe, then click OK.

When disc 1 is finsihed installing you'll be told to insert Disc 2, 3 etc.

You also need to be connected to the internet whle doing this so Origin can verify your files.

Whole thing should take about 30 minutes tops.
