Same problem here. It happens in multi and test range. Tried a fresh install of vid card drivers, repaired game, and even setting game priority to high. All 4 CPU's are being utilized and the game runs smooth otherwise.

I do. With conquest the game freezes almost immediately on siege of shanghai. TDM I can last as long as 30 minutes, and typically crashes just as the round is finishing up and awards are being handed out.

Same exact thing, Shanghai very early in the map, then I can play maps like The Locker over and over, no problem.
Seems totally based on what map is being played.

Interesting. I had not noticed what maps I was crashing on..

Yeah I can't even play siege of shanghai. Hangs immediately.

Happened to me EVERYTIME when I'm playing Siege of Shanghai. ONLY in this map.
The display freeze and the sound goes loop forever... only task manager "solves the problem".

I know there is nothing that can be done about this right now, but in case the data helps DICE fixing it:
I have the same issue on 3 different PC´s and it occurs completely random and without error message. It can happen after 5 minutes or 3 hours. My main machine runs with an i7 920 CPU, 6 gig´s of DDR 3 RAM, Windows 7 (updated today) and an AMD Radeon 5800 GC (Catalyst version 13.9). My Firewall is configured for Origin and BF4 and the Ports (For Battlefield 3 that is) pointed out in the FAQ on help.ea.com are open. The crashing started when the last patch was released. Before that I experienced only one crash with blue screen which I could direct back to my graphics card. I then lowered the detail and since then it ran fine.

Are you kidding. EA got their release money. They apparently don't care an aweful lot about expending any of it to fix these problems. Might very well be the last EA game I ever invest in. It's a shame though, the BF franchise has been really good. IT would be nice if they would at least acknowledge the problem and give people hope that it might be fixed soon. I'm off to beta test the new Blizzard game. At least they work really hard to fix problems with their games.

Blizzard has a working game? Did you play Diablo 3 at launch? You couldn't even logon to play. And there isn't a single player to hold you over? Only multiplayer and must be online to play with no servers to login to. You couldn't even log in to battle.net for almost a month after release. Plus the bugs for at least 6 more months. Blizzard, my friend, is in no way better than what we're going through right now with EA and Dice. I would have rather waited for a WORKING GAME than to sit in frustration while the game stares at me from my desktop. CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH. That's been my experience so far. I haven't quit a game yet but my quit % is at 85%. That's how bad it is.
