you have the problem or not?
I do. With conquest the game freezes almost immediately on siege of shanghai. TDM I can last as long as 30 minutes, and typically crashes just as the round is finishing up and awards are being handed out.
- Anonymous12 years ago
Same exact thing, Shanghai very early in the map, then I can play maps like The Locker over and over, no problem.
Seems totally based on what map is being played.
- Anonymous12 years ago
Interesting. I had not noticed what maps I was crashing on..
- Anonymous12 years ago
I can play Shanghai up to 10 min, but at Locker it crashes immediately, so I don't think its about the Maps
- Anonymous12 years ago
i crash on almost every map....ive reached level 4 about 6 times now, havent gotten any points since day one

Please stop telling people that are constantly crashing with DirectX errors and BF4.exe has stopped working to:
Reinstall the game
Reinstall DirectX
Upgrade to the latest drivers
Update PunkBuster
Repair Install
Downclock our GPU's
Increase our Voltage on our GPU
Reinstall Windows 7, 8, 8.1
Play in Windowed Mode
Play with the x86 version
Clean your fans
Stop complaining that we haven't been able to even play a single round
Stop complaining that we have unlocked upgrades over 5 times in the same day but then we crash and lose it again
Stop telling us to relax and wait for an update. I have been getting this same error since BF3 and only in BF3, BF4 Beta, and now BF4.
This **bleep** is really getting annoying. None of the above fixes or is a workaround to play the game. NONE OF THIS HELPS.
I'm so tired of people who don't have our problem telling us to try something that we have already tried multiple times.
I get into a game fine and on average I get the DirectX GetDeviceRemovedReason error 2 minutes into the game. No stuttering. Running 90-115 FPS until the game suddenly freezes up and loses my stats.

Yeah I can't even play siege of shanghai. Hangs immediately.
Happened to me EVERYTIME when I'm playing Siege of Shanghai. ONLY in this map.
The display freeze and the sound goes loop forever... only task manager "solves the problem".

Sorry just posted a new thread about this before seeing this one, but I will reiterate that this problem is insane. I can't believe that I cant play a full match without the fear of a mid-game crash.
I have a 4770k, GTX 780 SLI, 16gb 2400mhz C9 ram, running the latest nvidia drivers.
Please release a patch to fix this immediately. Spending $60 on an unplayable game is ridiculous. Seems like even a website dedicated to this game is upset about the reality: http://bf4central.com/2013/10/battlefield-4-unplayable-pc/

Every single online match/game has crashed for me right now. All within 1-3 minutes (one was around after 5 minutes or so). I played about 6-7 online games, and every single one crashed. EVERY SINGLE ONE!
