update on my situation:
ive been able to play OK on numerous servers. The screen freeze with sound loop has happened one more time.
a few other problems:
Many times the game will stop, screen goes black with the animated cursor at top right. Then Battlelog loads and says "Connection to server timed out".
The footsteps sound has dissapeared in a few games.
win 8.1 64bit 8gb
