Hi I've got the exact same problem hers. Screen freezes followed by a sound loop and battlefield stopped working. It first happened in the campaign a couple of times and then in the multiplayer every two maps maybe. Then I upadated every driver an repair/installed the game. Updated punkbuster etc because I had a lot of kicks due to wrong drivers as it said. I close every other program in the pc. And it seemed to somehow fixed the problem...So I played for a week maybe with 1-2 crashes only. Now two weeks later it crashes every half an hour, yesterday playing in a server with 3.200 tickets cl. My team was winning and I was in top3. 10 tickets before the game ended BOOM crash. Xp lost, unlocks lost, fun lost. It's been really frustrating now everytime I have a good score it crashes. And I join the site only to see there are 280 pages of people having this problem. Damn.... I use athlon ii amd x4 640 at 3ghz. Radeon r9 270x gigabyte. Corsair xms 2x4gb 1600. Wd hdd 500gb. And windows 7 professional.
I was searching last night for a possible fix for windows 7 through the internet and I found a video of a player on youtube and he was saying that we need to update the microsoft c++ redistributable to "update 4" (update 3 comes with the game) . You can find the update at microsofts official site ( http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30679 ) I wouldn't believe it will fix the crashes but did... at least the last 8 hours of gameplay no problems! 🙂 try that and let me know how it works for you people! If its working for you too pass it through like I did.
