Battlefield 4 low fps

Hello, I'm wondering if my laptop can run bf4 better, cause on bigger maps it can handle only 20-35 fps on high settings depending on what I'm looking at. I also get quite big fps drops.

I used all kind of guides to make it work a little bit faster. Unparked all cores, changed  a lot of settings in the system and got a little bit  better performance, but still I don't know if It could be better. All my drivers are updated.

Specs: Dell inspiron 17r, Windows 8.1, AMD radeon hd 8870m, RAM 8gb, processor intel core i7-4500u 1.80 GHz. Is it too bad to run this game on high settings?

To be honest, with this setup I recommend to try a mixture between medium and high settings. While the laptop has quite good hardware for a notebook, I have a similar, when slightly better, notebook and running BF4 on medium with arount 40 FPS. Have you checked your ATI Control Center for video enhancing features? I recommend to only use there the option "use application settings" and create a custom video setup in Battlefield. Turn especially AA, effects and the terrain quality a bit down and check if that helps to give you better FPS. You can also try to disable the Origin "In Game" overlay, this might give you some performance boost as well.

    Cheers
