I would like to know this as well. Not planning on buying the game if it doens't have this option.

I played COD Black Ops for a very very short time. One thing that made me want to burn the game immediately was a language filter. I could not rename one of my classes "Assault" because it supposedly had the word "ASS" in it.. what kind of M rated game filters language.

This post isn't about whats good or bad in an M rated game. Its a yes or no question on if there is a way to filter swearing and such. I'm mostly interested in if the MP callouts use offensive language. If you could confirm that for us that would rock! 🙂

There is a voice layover changer that allows you to change the dialog to a different language. I played BF3 in French for quite a while because all the unnecessary f-bombs they drop really gets annoying. I haven't quite had the chance to try it out on BF4 because I'm having some problems with lag with a really nice GPU and CPU which is not normal. I really wish they would put a filter on instead of having to not understand anything they say.

So the dialog is in a different language but the text on the sceen can be kept in english?
- Anonymous12 years agoSo let me get this straight. You won't buy a game that simulates warfare and is rated M for violence. But you draw the line when it comes to cursing?
I would recomend you hold off anyway, game is too buggy and requires loads of work. I'm sure the last thing on their minds is a language filter. - Anonymous12 years ago
Please stay on topic. This post is to clarify an aspect of the game, not debate if that aspect should be there or not.

Good to know about the bugs though. Thank you for that

To answer question NO. And to end with a little debate, any game rated M should never have any type of filter on it.

I dont see any reason for why they sould not have a filter. They could increase their market by having some sort of parental controls making the game more teen. It would make a lot of people happy and would give the makers a chance to get more money.
