I would recomend you hold off anyway, game is too buggy and requires loads of work. I'm sure the last thing on their minds is a language filter.
Please stay on topic. This post is to clarify an aspect of the game, not debate if that aspect should be there or not.

To answer question NO. And to end with a little debate, any game rated M should never have any type of filter on it.

I dont see any reason for why they sould not have a filter. They could increase their market by having some sort of parental controls making the game more teen. It would make a lot of people happy and would give the makers a chance to get more money.

Only a short-sighted fool would say that a game shouldn't have a language filter if some of the people want it. If you like all of the F-Bombs, you don't have to turn the filter on. If I don't want to hear that stuff, I can turn it on and still enjoy the game. Everybody wins.

I don't quite understand...are you saying that there should not be such an option? What would be wrong with giving such a choice? Search the web and you will find 100's of such requests or questions. MW3 & BO2 a very playable games with the filter turned on...it did not affect gameplay at all. But without it turned on the language was atrocious. It doesn't matter whether you fail to see the logic of it, it is simply people wanting the choice. The fact that the greatest selling games of all time provides it shows that there is a demand for it. Unfortunately, it seems that the option is not there for BF4 or for COD:Ghosts, for that matter. I played BF4 at a friend's house, and it is awesome...unfortunately the language was horrendous. Someone bought it for me for Christmas and I took it back....I can't play a game whose language I am unable to tolerate hearing...just the option to bleep it out or mute it out would be nice, but...oh well. Ghost's language is supposed to be much less offensive (like not having an F-bomb every 1-2 minutes)...maybe I'll buy that with the Walmart gift card I now have.

- 12 years agoI do believe that if you don't want bad language, you can go to audio settings and change the language, and turn the subtitles off. Although you may not understand orders in French... In multiplayer there is no reason for a filter as there is no swearing whatsoever as far as I can tell. Please let me know if this works for you.

how would this be an issue to you or anyone els if it did have a filter? you could keep it the way you want to , and other people can use the filter.
