Battlefield 4 [PC] - Stuck on "Joining Server" when I try to join a game.

Hello. I've been playing Battlefield 4 for over a week now, and suddenly I have not been to join any servers. The problem began yesterday and is still persisting. When I click to join the server, it pops up in blue at the bottom of my screen and says "Joining Server", just like it should, but nothing ever happens. Please help. Thanks.

Thanks! I repaired the game, reinstalled the battlelog web plugin, and just reinstalled punkbuster and now it appears to be working fine, so one of those things worked at least.

Running Origin.exe in admin mode does not resolve my "Stuck On Joining Server".  So Far I have spent over 4 hours in chat with EA support attempting to resolve this issue and another 4 hours alone attempting to diagnose exactly which program "Origin.exe, bf4.exe, Battlelog web page, system cache, admin  mode, and compatibility is responsible.

I might mention that the above chat was somehow terminated as in "the support person stopped responding to my chat questions"

Windows 8.1 compatibility troubleshooter does indicate Origin.exe is incompatible but opting for windows to "fix compatibility" also does not fix the issue.

Some times I get this error while attempting to "load" a game server.

"ERROR Could not communicate with BF4. Please use the Task Manager to close it down."

BTW:  Same issue arises in BF3.

I have the latest AMD video drivers.  the Latest win 8.1 updates. and i Removed Java.

The run as admin worked for me.  Of course I had tried just about everything under the sun prior to that.

Switched browsers from Firefox to Chrome.

Uninstalled browser plugin and reinstalled it.

Logged out of Battlelog and Origin.

    Ran Origin repair tool.

    Restarted machine several times.

    Restarted modem.

    Cleared cache in both browsers.

Uninstalled Battlelog Web Plugins (Windows 7/10 - Add or Remove Programs) and reinstalled it by logging back into Battlelog.

Reran pbsetup.exe to reinstall Punk Buster.

The last thing I did was change the "run as admin" permissions and that worked.
