I've contacted EA support twice on this topic using their online system.
I bought the game last Monday as I heard there were problems so decided to leave it a while
Looks like that was a mistake!
First solution offered was to delete Game Data - reinstall and restart - didn't fixt the problem. Then the guy suggested I restart the previous mission and play through to the same point. This worked of course - and it kept me off their backs for a while
Wednesday last week I'd made good progress through the campaign but needed to quit so I went back to Main Menu then quit. Later that I night I tried to resume play - no save at all! Only New game option available. Deleted game data - reinstall blah blah blah - no save available. Started again for a third time last night then got to the same point I had trouble with the first time - Helicopter rescue at top of building. Got killed and on restart black screen with sound only. I contacted EA support online and here are some of the things he suggested - this is for PS3:
1. Switch off the Media Centre
2. Clear all the cache, history etc from my Internet browser
3. Create a new account
At this point I'd had enough - I quit the session as I could clearly see he was only offering me solutions which would keep me busy. This happened to me way back in the BFBC2 days when the game was glitchy and buggy and they had no idea what was wrong. I know they'll fix this but I've had it with this company.
It's like buying a new car and when you get it home all the doors fall off. Or a new TV and it has 50% of the channels missing. We wouldn't put up with it.
