Battlefield 4, PS3; Unable to quit game/ turn off console
Almost every single time-easily 9/10 times- I switch off my ps3 after playing bf4, PS3 doesn't switch off properly.
I quit the match, I'm in the multiplayer/campaign/options menu and I select turn off system. The damn thing persistently turns off incorrectly and as a result every time I start my console, I get the "system wasn't turned off properly, checking for and restoring corrupt sectors" message.
It turns off as it would if the system had hanged and I had pressed the power button to turn it off . I.e. three beeps, and then turns off
Happens when i try to quit the game and return to XMB as well.
The console turning off this way is very harmful for the ps3's hdd, and I am afraid that it is definitely causing damage to my console.
It is quite a common issue, my case is not unique.
What is this about and when can we expect a fix?
Thanks.
