Battlefield 4 PS4 - Buy Server Space only for nobody to show up

I would like to know when the Server counts as running.

I purchased Server Space for 1 day thinking this would make completing Assignments easier (Assignment Weapons Only Server). The issue is, nobody is joining. Is it possible to Change the Region of the Server as nobody on my Continent plays the game anymore. I didn't realise it was this bad, but been sitting around for over a whole Hour, and still nobody shows up.

If there's still nobody 24 Hours later, I will want my money back for it.

  • OK, so EA's Response is:
Even though nobody has joined the Server, it's not Functionally Broken and therefore can not be refunded.

    This Translates to:
You may pay for usage of Server Space, but if nobody turns up, then that's not EA's problem. Effectively, they get away on a Legal clause and the Consumer is thus therefore ripped off.

    Things to note:
Once you've purchased Server Space, you can NOT Transfer what Region that Server is. This is because Servers are controlled by different Third-Party Companies, and therefore not the property of EA. EA won't refund you because they wave responsibility for the Servers. Unless you have 4 Systems that can all run the game at the same time, then effectively, don't bother. Europe Servers are a waste of money as nobody's around to join them.

  • So, several hours later.

A total of 5 Players have been and gone through my Server. The Session tried to start but was terminated only 100 Tickets later due to insufficient players.

The issue is that the Session can't start unless 4 or more players are in the session. The Session terminates if there is less than 3 Players.

When I try to search for my own Server, even by Name, on Battlelog, I can't find it unless I'm already in it.

    Server Started at 17:00 GMT
    Entered Server 17:20 GMT Approximately
1 Player joined at around 17:50 GMT Approximately
That Player left before the Session could Start
I changed the Map Rotation to Golmud at 18:10 GMT Approximately
I Entered the Session at 18:20 GMT Approximately
3 Players grouped in Squad Join together Joined at 18:22 GMT Approximately
    Session Launched Match
Session Match Terminated 100 Tickets into the Game as the other 3 Players left
I waited for Players to join after they left
I went Offline to play a different game at 19:31 GMT Exactly
I came back Online at 22:32 GMT Exactly
I've been waiting for Players ever since and have only seen 1 more Player in this time
It's 00:54 GMT now, and I'm still waiting

I'd add Bots if I could, but I don't have Additional PS4 Systems or AI Controlled Bots. The worse part is being reminded that I don't have any friends who play Battlefield Games. I'm actually considering looking Online for AI Droids so that I've got somebody to play with. All be it that it would be an AI, rather than a real Human, but I'm beyond giving a [COUGH].

Sorry @GENERALZOOL , but you are making some wrong claims here honestly.

You pay to rent a server from EA, but they are in no position to guarantee you that players will come on to your server to play on it.

How should they even do that?   ;o)

Its like if you started to rent a Mercedes, because you want to start to drive as a taxi driver and earn some money that way.

But it is not really the fault of Mercedes if no customers come and want to have a taxi ride with you.

So EA makes the server vehicle available for you to use and setup as you like, and that is what you pay them for.

But its for yourself to make it attractive for other players to join and play on it.

No @AdieShine-cn , the PC BF4 game platform is separate from the PS4 platform, which again is separate from the Xbox platform.  So the BF4 game is only played together with players that are on the same platform as you are yourself.
