Battlefield 4 single player

Question

At the end of the first mission the helicoper is supposed to blow up. Every time my grenade hits it, the helicopter starts to smoke and then it kills me. Every time it kills me it takes me back to the last checkpoint. "Driving the car through the tunnel"

Hi,

I found this part of the game to be very annoying. I needed to hit it just right or it would not blow up.
Trial and error eventually resulted in a blown up helicopter.
