Feature Suggestion: Modular Class-Based Customization for Battlefield 6
To the DICE Dev Team and EA Community Managers,
I’m writing to suggest a class-focused customization system for Battlefield 6, inspired in part by Insurgency: Sandstorm’s excellent approach to realistic, immersive character loadouts.
Concept Overview
Allow each class (Assault, Support, Recon, Engineer, etc.) to access distinct, role-appropriate customization options—including clothing, gear, and accessories that reinforce their tactical identity while giving players flexibility in expression.
Examples
Recon could choose from ghillie kits, veils, sniper rigs, and stealth gear.
Support classes might get heavier armor, ammo backpacks, LMG slings.
Assault classes could pick different chest rigs, helmets, breaching tools.
Engineers might access pouches, tools, radios, or explosive-specific gear.
Why This Feature Works
Keeps class roles visually distinct on the battlefield
Deepens player immersion
Offers cosmetic depth without sacrificing realism
Could be monetized responsibly (i.e. class-based skins that don’t break immersion)
I believe this direction would align perfectly with Battlefield’s strengths in immersion and squad identity, while appealing to both casual and hardcore players.
Thank you for your time and continued work on the franchise. Looking forward to the next evolution of Battlefield.
Best regards,
Misael Gomez
