Battlefield Bad Company 2 CD Key all ready in use
This occurred on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013. I had played Battlefield Bad Company 2 earlier in the day with no issues. I had taken a break and when I logged back in the system and joined a game on a server, the server would come back in a just a few seconds and say disconnected.
I figured something might be up with EA or ??? but I did see that the servers were populated. I tried my Battlefield 3 game and after a few minutes of actual game play, it kicked me out stating something about Punkbuster services.
After reading a few forum notes, the problem appeared to be the common connection issue with many people. I went and updated Punkbuster and was able to log into Battlefield 3 no problem and could play fine.
When I went back to Battlefield Bad Company 2, the log in had cleared my email and password. Since I haven't had to enter my email address or password i months, I could not remember the exact log in. When I bought the game from the Steam store a couple years ago, I used ruppster@san.rr.com. I am no longer at that email due to a divorce.
I tried my old email address and it failed. I then tried my current email address ruppster@cox.net and I got to log in. But now it is asking for the CD key. No problem, I was able to get the CD key from the game listings on my Steam account.
But now when I enter the key, it says key all ready in use. Well duh, it the key for my game when I set it up a couple years ago. I have purchased the DLC's Vietnam and the SPectAct kits.
How do I get this fixed?
Thank you,
Garry Rupp
