Battlefield hardline, gun bench broken after going legendary ps5

I can enter into the gun bench and change the gun bench, custom slots however I cannot save them to later enter into an online match.

This is not just one of the normal things being taken away after going legendary. There is no lock sign that tells you what assignment you need to do. Additionally, there is like a one in 100 chance that for whatever reason the custom slots save until I go back to the gun bench or even go into an online match. However, this is pretty much useless because it only saves that one time.

 I even tried deleting and re-downloading the game, but that did not work. I found some opinions on Google that this is actually a permanent glitch that can happen to people that go legendary because visceral games has closed and there is no true support person anymore for Battlefield hardline. is this really true? This seems like a game breaking glitch for people like me that highly covet the gun bench.
