Battlefield crashes when I alt-tab or change settings
Hey everyone. I would go directly EA Technical Support, but I know what they're going to tell me, and it doesn't work. I know because I've already went to them for help before. This seems to be an on-going issues that strikes at random, but I'm experiencing the worst of it today.
First of all, system specs:
Intel i7 3770k
XFX R9 390
16 GB RAM
Windows 7 64-bit Professional
Getting solid 100+ FPS in-game with 2x MSAA and 120% resolution scale. Fullscreen. #MostlyWinning
THE PROBLEM: After switching from "DirectX11" to "Mantle", everything has just blown up. Switching back to DirectX11 has not fixed it. Whenever I try to change a setting in options, the game crashes. If I alt-tab in-game, it crashes. If I don't have the BF4 window "selected" when the game finally finishes loading.....the game crashes. Weird.
WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR:
-Repaired BF4 in Origin
-AMD Drivers are up to date. I've already used Display Driver Uninstaller to clean things up before fresh install.
-Ran CCleaner to clean up any DLLs.
-BF4 is up to date.
-Re-ran DXSetup.exe in BF4 Folder.
-Re-ran Microsoft C++ essentials.
-Origin, BF4.exe and everything else are set to run as administrator
-Restarted PC
I'm out of luck on what to do. Has anyone else experienced this error? What did you do to fix?
Thanks.

I figured it out.
C> Users> (Your Username)> My Documents> Battlefield 4> Settings> PROFSAVE_profile
After deleting all the entries in that file, the game was good as gold. Everything worked fine again.
Hope this helps someone else out.
