Wow i had this same issue for a few months ... but i had it on windows 10. Honestly i tried everything the only thing that helped was upgrading to windows 11. Easiliest if u r on windows 10... i have a couple ideas... if u haven't gotten any help from the community cause ea is terrible as is ubisoft at contacting emails for help u never receive. generic crap... lmk if u still need help if u r on wind 10 u r in luck uprade easy otherwise theres a few things in the microsoft store that need to b aligned i spent months eventually on windows 10 i was able to use the app but only the older xbox companion app, Some games worked like cloud but i wasnt able to install....thats also another suggestion if u r still on windows 10.. yet i believe that app is a wrap... lmk... I feel 4 ya! but im here to help as i didnt see any1 in the thread w help.... peace LtGeneralAndrew n btw this was happening to all of my games then....

I tried that, it didn't work. Its similar but not the same issue. One asks for a product key and the other asks you to login.

Try out the solution in this BF3 post, it should work for Hardline also. Battlefield 3, BOUGHT via Steam or EA app, Keeps Asking For A Product Key | EA Forums - 6296498

If you are still having this issue, then you should talk to EA support. Unfortunately, there is no generally accepted solution for the issue.
