Battlefield hardline: Game won't install on pc

I downloaded the game about 2 days ago. but i just can not install it completely. everytime i try to install the game and it sure went though the install process and everything look fine at that moment. but the game is not actually installed. it will still shows "ready to install" after the process. can't play the game now and have no idea what should I do. I already looking through the dx folders and reinstall all the VCs and dx stuff everything seems working fine.
and i triel to start the multiplayer on the battlelog then it said something like plz patch or update the game stuff, and i tried to start the .exe directly it shows :"The game Battlefield Hardline does not appear to be installed. Please install it or try relaunching the game."

what should I do now? can anyone give some advise?

  • @6L23 Have you tried repair game to see if this will fix it?

If this fails to fix it try this.....

Re- install origin only not your game just origin.

    1. Uninstall Origin completely from Windows Control Panel.
    2. Reboot your PC. This is important to clear out any lingering registry files or directories.
    3. Download the latest Origin here: http://origin.com/download
    4. Install Origin and see if you can install your game.

There are no "repair game" options cuz the game is not installed...

  • @6L23 Fair deal then do second thing I stated ....

I did what you said but the game still won't install on my computer.

  • @6L23 Off chance but lets rule out any issues with windows before we move to other things to try and fix this...

Test your windows for errors as a clean windows install does not always make a stable windows.

NOTE: Running SFC does not guarantee the crash will not happen, but it will ensure it is not because a windows Dll or file is corrupted in windows.

This works in all windows O/S vista Win7, Win8 ,Win8.1 and win10 windows system file checker :] Copy and past this to note pad and put it on your desktop. As open programs can give you errors when you run this.

sfc /scannow, ever hear of it if not your going to love this, it will inspect all the important windows files as well as the windows DLL files. If windows system file checker finds any issues with the windows files and windows DLL files it will replace them / try to fix them. This little tool as well as the event viewer on a PC saved me and fully helped me fix my BF4 issues as well as saved me many a format since I found it. This is the best toy they ever put in windows :womanvery-happy:

-For win7 go to start/ bottom left screen / windows globe .. Right click in search type cmd and right click cmd pick run as administrator.
-For win 8.1 right mouse click start bottom left of screen / windows box and pick command prompt administrator.

1-Open administrator command prompt and close web pages and programs like Origin, Steam etc.

2-Type or copy and paste in sfc /scannow and hit enter, This takes 5 min to 15 min SSD vs HD

3-This can go one of a few ways ..... no errors ... it fixed some errors ..... could not fix all errors...... does not finish checking and errors out ....... and the last one could not fix errors at all :/

4-After its done REBOOT PC and Run sfc /scannow again even if you had no errors the first time or had errors, could not fix run sfc /scannow again and when its done a second time reboot. You need to do this a and get no errors 2 x in a row ...

5-So if you ran it 2x and no errors your safe you can stop. If you had errors first time but not the second then run sfc /scannow again and when its done reboot. You need to get could not find any errors 2 x to be safe. If it still finds errors try and run it a few more times until it finds no errors 2x AND ALWAYS REBOOT BETWEEN RUNNING sfc /scannow

6-If you get a message indicating that it can not be repaired and you ran sfc /scannow more then 3x in a row on win vista or 7 mm you need a format or try repair win 7 :/ But after format or repair and all updates are done run sfc /scannow to make sure your windows is stable same deal 2x error free reboot between them.

NOTE-If your O/S is Win8 or Win 8,1 or win10 then you can run the next few command lines in administrator command prompt. Sadly this does not work for win vista or 7 :/ Note: After you run each command line Reboot PC.

This next part of windows scans is only for windows 8 & windows 8.1 and win 10

Reboot PC after you run each command line and close programs and web pages.

And same deal as above run command prompt administrator.

1-This command line will scan the health of your PC:
    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

2-This command line will restore the health of your PC and you don't lose anything on your PC :
    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Note: If you get errors with the two command lines above and it cant be fixed with second command line and if you are on windows 8.1. Then use third command line but be warned it could take up to two hrs to fix your PC but it will save you a format. I had a friend test this on a PC with errors when it could not be fixed with second command line. :womanvery-happy:

This next part of windows scans is only for windows 8.1 and win 10

And same deal as above run command prompt administrator.

1-If restore heath gave you errors then you can always try this command line:

    dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

2-If you get Error 0x800F081F with the restore health scan then run this command line. After you reboot your PC then run third command line to be sure your windows is fully stable.

    Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore

Umm... I know you are trying your best to help me out. Sorry, but it just still not working.

I tried the sfc /scannow for 3 times only after the first time it says there are error but windows are already fix those blablabla. so i reboot and run the second time and it shows everything is running great. Then I tried the second script and the third script ,and after all that was finished I reboot the system again. Just in case so I run the scan again after the reboot and it told me everything are running good again and I try to install the game but the problem are still there.

I really appreciate your help I really do but my laptop are just not going to work for me.. well this is a little embarrassed.. Umm do you still have any other ways?

  • @6L23 I just wanted to be sure windows was stable / good to go so lets try this next....

1- Open Origin at the top left side origin pick application settings.

2- Go to advanced settings and check off Safe mode downloading

3- Now try to download game.

If this fails to fix it then give this  a try..

Please update your Origin client to the latest Beta version (top left Origin menu, Application Settings - General) and then enable Safe mode Downloading (Application Settings - Advanced).

If all this fails to fix it please read this link below true your game has not installed yet but still worth a read for your problem :]

Game downloaded through Origin but will not install see this link please.

I would also make sure all this is up to date on your PC just to be safe :]...

Make sure all this is up to date on your PC as well as do this for settings ....

Latest version of DirectX see this page
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35

Reinstall Microsoft C++ For my game PC's I install both x64 and x86 as it does not hurt the PC

NOTE>>> you need to select the x64 or the x86 file depending on what architecture your computer has. To find this out, Click Start, right click on "Computer" and select "Properties". Under system type is should say "32-Bit Operating System" or "64-bit Operating System". If 32-bit operating system, download the x86 file, and if 64-bit download the x64 file.

I tried all the things but the games seems just refuse to install on my laptop....  ☹️

  • @6L23 I am not sure what you have going on at this point as the last post should have fixed it for you so I think the best bet is to contact a EA game adviser please see below.....PS... so sorry I was not able to fix this for you , keep me posted and let me know if you get this fixed as I would like to know how they do it and let them know what you tried already.

Edit.... try this if it fails then contact EA game adviser ....

Please update your Origin client to the latest Beta version (top left Origin menu, Application Settings - General) and then enable Safe mode Downloading (Application Settings - Advanced).

    or

    Close origin
go to the hard drive you have BFHL installed on
then go into origin games and remove BFHL folder .. cut it and past it on desk top
Then restart origin so that it can see bfHL is gone
then closed origin again and move bfHL back to the original folder
    Then open origin again
    And try repair game

    or

After you have experienced the error, can you please just close the error window and then resume the download by pressing the small arrow next to the exit option, in the download bar.

Keep doing this and it should finish the download. Remember to only hit it ones and if the error happens again, then resume again and keep doing the process.

    or

    1. PAUSE download & Log off
    2. Completely close the Origin Client
    3. Start Origin Client again
    4. Log on & Resume download.

Do these steps at least 5-6 times and voila, it should finish. After doing these steps my download finished 100% without problem.

NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU PAUSE THE DOWNLOAD BEFORE LOGGING OFF AND CLOSING CLIENT!

If all this fails then see below ....
