The graphics card is only a month or so old, so I certainly hope it's not dying. That artifact does not happen on all maps, and has only appeared on two that I've tried so far. Loading up another game just now, it was not present and the sky appeared normal, but the buildings were still mostly invisible.
I do not know how to check my GPU temp, but the CPU is running in normal range and I do not have issues running other games on my PC.
I left the AMD processes alone and have not touched the drivers yet, so no worries about being careful there. 😕mileytongue:
The scan just completed, it stated "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS log." I found the log and at the end, it states: 2015-05-26 11:02:25, Info CSI 00000907 [SR] Verify and Repair Transaction completed. All files and registry keys listed in this transaction have been successfully repaired
I'm not sure if anything was repaired or not, as windows is contradicting itself...
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ is a good universal tool for checking temperatures.
As for the Windows Error Checking tool that message means it found more than one "broken" windows files and were only able to fix some of them. You should keep restarting and running the tool again until it has fixed them alll and comes up with no errors. You might need to boot into safemode to fix it all:

GPU seems to be running at around 50c during gameplay. http://i.imgur.com/Q6Ko8PT.jpg This is the best that the game will look, and it only randomly appears this way and lags terribly. Not only FPS, but actual lag.
I have repaired windows with this method 5 times and restarted after each and it continues to give the same message, stating that there are files that could not be repaired. I will try a few more times and if this does not resolve the problem, I will have to wait until tomorrow to remove and reinstall the graphics driver.
Is there anything else I should try before then? Thank you for your assistance so far.- Carbonic11 years agoHero+
Did you try doing the Windows repair in safe mode?
Also, a quite easy thing to do is the clean boot. Basiclly you make sure all background applications that aren't from Microsoft don't start and try a non Punkbuster enabled server.

I will await your results 🙂 Good luck.

I had trouble getting it into safemode, instructions for Windows 8 were a bit different. Once I got it there, I ran the repair and it gave the same message, stating that it was unable to repair all files. I'll get back to you tomorrow on trying a clean boot.
