There's currently no way to do this. If you would like to suggest it I would recommend the Battlelog forum:

- Anonymous11 years agoNot everyone that plays is a ten year old Caucasian kid from the suburbs who thinks its cool to drop the f bomb in every other sentence. I couldn't find anything on battle log. How about giving a person the option to tone it down.
Here are your options,
- Mute the sound
- Post on BL - http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/
There is no option period to turn the Cussing off, however remember the game is an 18.
Please also be careful of posting stereotypes that are inappropriate.

We should be able to at least adjust the volume levels of the voices to environment! But a option to turn off the all the stupid sounding language would be nice. Not everyone playing this game do be * from the hood. It's just stupid to make everyone hear this garbage. ALL THE TIME it seems.

Currently there is no option in any of the Battlefield franchise games to turn on child friendly mode.
As others have stated your only course of action at this moment apart from changing to a foreign language (this option is platform and region dependent) is to post your request on the Battlelog forums since your issue is outside the scope of the Answer HQ's purpose of helping gamers solve their technical problems. Ideas, game feedback (your issue falls into this category), and requests that gain traction on the Battlelog forums are passed up to the game's developers via weekly reports from the EA Community Managers. This is the way your request would be implemented if it gained sufficient traction on the forms.

I don't have the game installed in front of me at the minute... but I have a crazy as heck guess on how to get a foreign language but still have English menus.
Here's my 100% guess that might not work at all.
First you need to get the language you want (i.e. French) files.
Do it by Renaming the "Loc" folder to something else "Locback"
Change Origin language to (French).
Repair Game.
Change Origin back to English.
Rename the new "Loc" to "LocFrench" or something
Rename "Locback" to "Loc" again.
Repair game.
Find the file via trial and error which one has the talking. Rename the french file to what the English one is named. Rename the English one "*Back" or something... swap in the French file.
No clue if that'll work or not..

If you want a family friendly shooter based on Battlefield4 I highly recommend Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare.
The game is a blast for all ages and is 100% clean. Some cartoonish violence is the worst you could say and even that is mild compared to the Bugs Bunny cartoons of yesteryear.
- Anonymous11 years agoSo, you're playing a pretty violent game, and you complain about the cussing? That makes total sense... Here's how you turn off the cussing... Don't play it

Don't play itI get so tired of everyone who thinks that just because someone plays a violent game such as a war based game or a police type game that you curse like a salor. So you must assume too that there are no Christians in the military or no christian police out there. All these folks out there that think is so cool to curse every other word.

I too have difficulty listening to the language constantly. So I decided not to play the game. I also do not recommend it to my friends. I'm an adult I don't have to listen to this stuff. The earlier version of battlefield were at least not this bad in multiplayer.
If you dont like the language, then why did you buy a Mature rated game? Also, the previous Battlefield games had just as much, if not more profanity in them, especially in multiplayer. This issue can easily be solved by either removing your headphones or hitting mute on your main sound.
