BattleField3 doesn't work

I'm having some problems running Battlefield3. I have tried to instal three times in a row although never succeeded on running it appropriately. Every time that i tried it would just appear a window saying that Battlefield3 had stoped working. I don't  know what to do, i already uninstaled and instaled Battlefield3, origin and even Battlelog more then three times. Thank you for reading this post, i would appreciate someone could tell me a solution to this problem!

  • The thing is with the error ... has stopped working it is as old as mud or windows lol and can hit any program or game on a PC the trick is to find the correct fix for each PC. If you have turned off page file on your PC then turn it back on as Page file off can make this error in BF games, I tested page file off in BF3 and BF4 with 32 gigs ram and yes I got this error again :womanlol:. If you have no idea what page file is no worries as windows has it on by default.

Keep me posted on all this ,If none of this below will fix this for you then let me know , I  may have to see the error from your PC event viewer to fully fix this for you as it will give me more of a idea what it making the error on your PC.

    Try this..

Uninstall the HD Audio Driver from the video card driver install add/remove programs. This silly thing makes issues in games for some. Reboot PC  then test game. Sadly our video card drivers love to install junk programs we do not need, when I had my war with this error I learned fast to only install what I had to with to  make my video card work.

    Also do this for settings...

    Run the game as Administrator:
Go to the Origin games folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3) and find Bf3.exe. Right click it and go to PROPERTIES, then COMPATIBILITY and check the box next to RUN THIS PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR.

    Run Origin as Administrator:
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and right click on Origin.exe and go to properties. Then go to compatibility tab and check the box next to RUN AS ADMIN.

    Disable Origin in game:
In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
    Origin, settings, General

Make sure all this is up to date...

1- Download PB then extract files to your desktop.
    2- Open Punk Buster folder.
3- Click on the PB setup and it will open.
4-Add your BF4 game to punk buster its at the top of Punk Buster.
5-Then update punk buster again at the top of Punk Buster.

    Reboot PC test BF4

If all this fails to fix it then try this...

BF3 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF3 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF3 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.

1- Go to my Documents and remove BF3 folder place it on your Desktop for now.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF3
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BF3.
