I'm sure it's a configuration mistake from Etisalat team.. they must been trying out a new proxy or something and blocked some things by mistake..
I'm not trying to protect them or something, as much as i hate etisalat but i think this time it's a mistake..
what makes me say this is that because.
1. It's not blocked on mobile.
2. https shouldn't work if they intentionally wanted to block battlefield.
3. It works for me at my home in dubai, but doesn't work for me when i'm in Abu Dhabi. But some of my friends in Abu Dhabi went to the site and confirmed that it isn't blocked so for some reason it's blocked for some and not for others.
4. I also administrate a proxy server in the company that i work for, so i know how it works and mistakes happen =)
I'm in contact with Etisalat on twitter to check the issue but as usual their being lazy bums and do nothing so i would like guys to contact them as well if you got twitter (@Etisalat_care)
I just got a reply from Etisalat that it's working normally and shouldn't be blocked!!!
so i sent them a screenshot of the blocked page to show that it is blocked!! they are just not checking properly.
If it has been blocked and is not anymore you might want to clear your DNS cache by opening up a command prompt and entering the command:
ipconfig /flushdns
followed by powering of your system and removing the power cable from your routers and modems for 5 minutes.
