Battlelog Chat Broken

For a few weeks now, the battlelog chat box, for one of my friends, has been stuck in a state, where we can no longer send new messages. The history only shows a list of our names with 'left' next to...

    I finally fixed this, after a suggestion from a moderater in the Battlelog forums (thanks for the help here EA ... not)

    I had to unfriend my friend, then refriend him. That relinked our friendship, and fixed the chat.

I will give it a shot, but considering it does it on his end too, and it does it on my new tablet (purchased after this chat issue started), I doubt it's something on my end.

Clearing my cache does not help. Is there any way of actually getting someone from EA to actually investigate things?
