Battlelog friends

I deleted most of my "friends" from Batlelog several months ago.

First problem: I still see their stuff in the battlefeed. Extremely annoying.

Second problem: I've recently decided to try the game again in near future, and thought I'd add few of the previous deleted people back. I was extremely surprised when I found out I couldn'! There was no add friend button, but there were the chat and invite to mission buttons, as if they still were in my list. Of course, clicking chat produced an error telling me we were not friends.

Is this a known problem? Is there any solution?

Some useless chimp from the live chat (I honestly don't know why I even bother opening that) told me you can't just delete someone, he has to delete you as well, which makes less than no sense whatsoever because 1) people change names all the time, and most importantly, 2) there's no way to contact them once you delete them.
