But whenever I click play on Steam and it takes me to Battlelog, battlelog just launches the game through origin and uses the older origin version of BF3 and not that new Battilefield 3 game with the Steam thing at the bottom of it... meaning it doesn't log my hours or playtime on Steam... is there a resolution???

@Wholesome_Seal69 I have both the Origin and Steam version of BF3 and experienced this issue myself. What I had to do was uninstall BF3 so it wasn't installed in Origin or in Steam. Then I did the following:

Close Origin and all Origin processes in the task manager
Hold the Windows key + R.
In the command box that opens, type %ProgramData%/Origin then click OK.
Delete all the files and folders inside it except for LocalContent
Inside of the LocalContent folder delete the Battlefield 3 folder.
I restarted my PC for good measure

Opened Steam and installed Battlefield 3 and then launched BF3 and it worked for me.
