Battlelog Web Plugin bugs

Heya!

So I installed BF3 and tried to start it via Battlelog. First I got errors like "Unable to connect with bf3.exe. Use Taskmanager to close it down" (or something). I tried that and it doesn't help. Then I reinstalled Battlelog plugin and now I don't got errors anymore. But now Battlelog says "INITIALIZING" forever. I moved to offline mode and I can play campaign without problems.

But when I'm in online mode and I press play in Origin, Google Chrome (and I have tried Firefox and IE too) starts and it goes to "http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/". When I click "Quick game" the loading bar appears and it loads for a while. Then the bar disappears and nothing happends. "Campaign" does the same, but the bar won't vanish. Only "INITIALIZING" forever.

Reinstalling Battlelog plugin or restarting PC doesn't help.

So what do you think? What is the solution to this very awkward problem?

Thanks in advanced!

Oh and btw because somebody will ask I'll say my computer's specs now:

Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5470, 512 MB RAM

Intel pentium inside 2GHz dualcore

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

4 Gb RAM

Make sure you have the latest version of flash installed on your PC http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?no_redirect

Remove all versions of the previous battlelog browser plugins that are already in your downloads folder or installed on your computer and re download it from the direct download link here: http://eaassets-a.akamaihd.net/bl-cdn/cdnprefix/822b7eef4bcfcaf8ae423d3fab9d75db7f4add40A/public/download/battlelog-web-plugins_2.4.0_141.exe

Follow the steps below for the browser you are using.

    Chrome:
    1. Clear Browsing Data
    2. In the search bar typing the following command: chrome://plugins
    3. Checking the box Always allowed for ESN Sonar API and Battlelog Game Launcher
    4. Restart your PC

    FireFox:
    1. Navigate to Addons (Firefox menu) > Plugins
    2. Search for ESN and Battlelog
    3. Set both to: Always Activated
    4. Restart your PC.

    Internet Explorer:
    1. From Internet Options/General tab > Clear Browsing data > Delete button
    2. From Security tab, slide the bar to bottom > Medium Protection
    3. In Trusted Sites > battlefield.com should be added along with battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/ and battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/
    4. Restart your PC.

  • Have I understood something wrong but I can't find ESN Sonar API in the chorme (or Firefox) plugins page? But Battlelog plugin is there.

If you look in the top right hand corner to the left of the "crossed knives" there should be something that looks like a circle with a downward pointing arrow.  Click on this and it will take you through the setup process.

If it won't update try saving the setup file to your desktop, close the browser, right click the setup file and select "run as administrator".  Complete the process and start your browser and you will be good to go.

  • Just so you know but when I select a server and hit play, bf3.exe appears for a second to the Taskmanager. After a few seconds it appears again but it disappears when loading is ready and the loading bar vanishes.

@_Teo3N_FIN Yea the screenshot you showed means it's either installed or not recognizing it. Use the link in my first post in this thread and re download it.
