Battlelog won't acknowledge installed update

I encountered a problem to which I haven't found a solution anywhere yet.

I go to Battlelog and I see the blue arrow on the top, indicating an update. I click on it, and in Firefox I can download the file, in Internet-Explorer it won't do anything. In Firefox, after running the downloaded files... nothing happesn, I press on the "x" of the message on the bottom left with the instructions on how to update. When I try to join a server it says I need to update.... which I already have done about 10 times.

Is there any way to solve this?
