Batttlefield 4 is lagging like crazy.

I don't know whats wrong, every since time i got on battlefield 4, it keeps lagging no matter what, even when no one else is on my network. This is very frustrating because I paid $60 for the game from the psn store, waiting for it to download which was a long time and purchased ps plus. I even tried setting the network smoothing factor to 0% still the same thing is going on, no matter what game mode, no matter what ever, it is lagging for me.
