is bf1942 now working ?
Unfortunately no, initially I even felt a slight improvement but soon I saw that it was pure illusion, but continues making the black screen lock.
I even got to ponder the hypothesis of being the different resolutions between the Menu and the Game itself, since the resolution in both are not the same, but I was not successful, even decreasing the resolution, did not solve, I finally went back to the stake Zero, from some I can tell you that things are flowing better, so far the game did not lock or want once when entering the menu, before it crashed 85% of the time, something else is now taking a little longer So that it enters the black screen, yes for sure it is something that impata in the game, the black screen almost always occurs when I load a new game or map, that is when the screen changes passages, I still think there is something Different resolution between the menu and the game.
Sorry for the delay in reporting, is that I was really testing everything to have a base.
you mean blackscreen.exe crash ? well that happen on win7 as well just press it away and ignore it i never had problems loading maps online or offline
First I need to know what are you using to run battlefield 1942 is it a laptop ?
So are you using an original installation on CD-ROM or downloaded game if so which version ?
did you fully patch up bf1942 ?

However they provide links for official patch up packs.

now download patch 1.6 and 1.61b then install finally update battlefield 1942 to use the new Master server and to be completely independent from the CD-ROM drive since Windows 7 8 10 11 no longer supports safedisc drm.

This is required to get battlefield 1942 to run on Windows 10 or 11.
Finally if you still can't get bf1942 to run does your laptop or monitor support 800 by 600 resolution ?
if not I suggest joining the fhsw discord server hopefully they can find a workaround to get the game to work.
