BF1 crashing using DX12

As of recently whenever I try to boot Battlefield 1 in DX12 it loads to the menu, and then freezes and crashes with no error message. Then I have to go into the user_profile file and edit it to switch back to DX11. I believe this may be the reason for such bad performance on my system but I have no clue where to start to fix it.

I've used DDU to uninstall and reinstall the drivers (Crimson ReLive)

I've tried to replicate an error message I got to no avail, something about DirectX failure.

Tried reinstalling Origin

Tried repairing BF1 using Origin

Haven't tried redownloading BF1 because I have a semi-slow Internet connection but I will if it comes down to it.

PC Specs:

RX 480 8GB

16 GB RAM

i5-4440

I suspected CPU at first but going into task manager the game is only using 70% of my CPU when playing in intensive multiplayer sessions. Any ideas?

TLDR; BF1 bad framerates, crashes with no message when trying to use DX12.

As far as I know DirectX 12 has bad optimization for Battlefield 1. I advise you play the game with DirectX 11. I think DirectX 12 will be fixed in the future updates for game. The next update will be released with DLC "Giant's Shadow" on 13 December.
