BF1 English language download option

Hi, I'm trying to redownload BF1 after the new anti-cheat patch, but when choosing download options the only languages available are Polish and Russian, no English. I've found this exact issue on a different thread for the sims, and the solution was to contact EA help so that they can update/change the region of the game product...

Well I did that: first I was sent a 12 year old YouTube tutorial for how to change the language in BF3, which did not help. Then they straight up admitted that they cannot help me and they "hope it will fix soon".

This is very strange in the first place because I definitely downloaded and played BF1 on the same computer, in the same location, through the same EA app earlier this year.

So, what do?

    Hi @killerlego520 The EA App only officially supports the languages provided with the version of the game which has been purchased. It sounds like the version you have is only for Polish and Russian.

    You may find a workaround, but the only official solution I'm aware of is to purchase a version of the game which supports English.

    @ElliotLHI appreciate your response, but this is definitely a back end issue with EA. I bought the game in the US, and have over 200 hours played. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple times over the years, and choosing English as the interface language has never been an issue before. This is a silly issue and I'm just disappointed that EA's official support could not help nor offer a method of escalation/recourse.

    Anyways, I did find a workaround involving editing the game's registry, linking it here for anyone with the same issue in the future:

    Amazing that EA has broken our games like this.  No solutions, no awareness, no concern at all.  We paid for these games, but now can't play them.  Not being able to choose language is pathetically absurd.   EA obviously doesn't care.   

    I uninstalled the EA app and I'm done with them.  Was a good run, but its been all downhill the last few years.
