BF1 offline but I can join a friend and play?!

hi guys,

first i would like to thank you all for this kind of forum! But they sadly have not fixed my problem.

The problem in my case: i start bf1 but the game shows me that i'm offline, in singleplayer and multiplayer. If i press the "go online"-button

it shows me the link .....not able to connect...(2000) for ea troubleshooting. But if one of my buddies is in a game a can join him and play!

I've done all of the tipps and solutions that I read in this forum and i also contacted the ea-support. I also done all of the tips from them...they

send my problem over from german support to the english support and they told me to wait a while...but maybe you guys have maybe another solution or

tip for my issue.

Like I said, I've been through all of the troubleshooting, drivers and windows are up to date, give all ports free in router and firwall, deactiveted firewall etc. ... reseted my hosts give internetexplorer all rights...

did a utrace and msinfo as well as dxdiag. Deactivated DX12 in the options....deinstalled origin and bf1, cc-cleaner...reinstall, repair....

My Sys-Specs:

Win10 64bit

CPU: intel i2500

GrCa: Nvidia 980ti

Ram: 16Gb

So...anyone got another idea?

Thanks in andvance

That is odd, can you check to see if you've chosen to have your status reflected as "hidden" or "offline" in your origin presence settings? I can think of no other reason why you'd be able to join a friend online but show that you are offline.

Yeah, I have the exact same problem as you, and it was after the latest update, it worked without any problems at all before that. And I also have tried pretty much everything possible and no luck.. So I'm following this thread and hoping someone could come up with a solution.

    Yep, same here.

Since the latest update BF1 will show me that I'm offline all the time. The Menu screen is off too, not showing me the background image or the quit button. (I can still press it tough)

Its a shame that it wont work anymore.

so....after a while and some advice of the support....after all my firewall/antivirus-program blocked BF1/Origin in BF1 but no idea why it doesn't worked when I switched the Firewall/Antivirus off....after uninstalling the firewall/antivir and reinstalling it...BF1 works great. so maybe this works for you other guys with the same problem as well?!

thanks everyone for advices and ideas!

So guys, I found a fix that works like a charm but it has to be done every time before you start the game.

sorry if the instructions are not super exact, I use German origin so the exact wording may be different.

    1. go to your game library in origin

2.right-click on the battlefield 1 logo

3.go into settings and there press on the synchronization tap

    4.deactivate synchronization with the cloud

5.close origin and open file explorer

    6.go to C/user/username/documents/Battlefield

7.delete all the files (no worries, they are still in the cloud, multiplayer stats are not deleted)

    8.enter the game, adjust brightness

    9. skip intro video with space

10.press esc and quit to enter the menu

    11. play multiplayer

I did some research and I solved the problem by deactivating DX12 and run on 11 instead. I have no idea how this affects the connectivity, but it did work for me.
