BF1 Pc Controller triggers reversed, keybinds don't work

Hi guys, I've been trying to play BF1 and BF4 and in both these games my left and right triggers both ads and fire my guns. as in if I pull either trigger on it's own my character ads's and fires non stop,

if I remap the key bindings to have shoot on left trigger and aim on right trigger then left shoots and right aims, if I rebind aim and shoot to other random buttons on my controller then left trigger still shoots and right trigger still aims.

So regardless of how I have my keys mapped left trigger always shoots and right trigger always aims, it's like there is some hidden keybind irrespective of the actual ingame keybinds.

any ideas on how to fix this would be super helpful, thanks in advance,

    I would try clicking the reset key bindings option under controller settings.

    If that doesn't work, I would try resetting all options to their default configuration by renaming "Documents\Battlefield 1" folder to "Documents\Battlefield 1 Backup" and relaunch the game.
