BF1: Suddenly I can't play multiplayer

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I bought and played about 3h in Battlefield 1 - mostly multiplayer. Everything worked fine and smooth. This morning a similar situation, I played one long online match then left the game on in the menu. In the meantime, my provider temporarily disconnected the internet so as soon as the connection came back, I hit the “reconnect” button and this is where my problem begins.

Every time I try to join an online game, after a few seconds of loading I get a message that reads:

CONNECTION TO SERVER LOST
No connection to EA Online. The parameters of your Internet connection may not be sufficient for this game.

In addition the game normally shows me the currently available list of servers, the ping changes, the number of available server seats changes. I am not banned, I've checked that. What can I do - how can I fix the game? It's too late to return it, although I'd rather fix it anyway and enjoy the multiplayer while it works. To the good soul that will try to help me - thank you so much.

  • Hi!

Thank you for your response. Of course I tried every solution but nothing worked.

Interestingly enough, I found the solution myself and it is as stupid as EA itself. All I have to do is wait 10-15 minutes after turning on the game and only after that time I connect to any server without any problem.

  • P.S.

After connecting to another network, the game let me play a multiplayer. After returning to the old network (btw. working everywhere else), the game still does not work and in addition, it does not show me servers with good ping.

  • Can anyone help? I can't play the game I just bought. I reinstalled the game, I reset my network / router. Nothing helps.

When I disconnect the internet in the game it shows a message that the EA server has been disconnected. I reconnect and it still shows me the same message.

Since the game works when connected to another network suggests, to me anyway, that it's potentially a network issue. You could try the suggestions in the guides below, but you may need to speak to your ISP.

  • I was in your situation. BF1 had worked for a while, then most servers wouldn't connect. The error was always about my network that supposedly didn't meet system requirements.

Solution: go to Windows Firewall and create both an Inbound and an Outbound rule to always allow the connection for BF1. When asked, choose "Program" instead of any other protocol.
