BF1942 - crashes!

Question

I downloaded the Origin version of BF1942 and installed everything I've read in this thread. That includes the gamefly patch, turning on Run as Admin, compatibility mode, Direct Play and turning off Game DVR.

I'm on Windows 10.

Game launches perfectly (man it feels good to hear that music again!) but the crashes start happening in two places.

1. Most common crash is when pressing ESC during gameplay to switch maps or change options. Game will freeze and the only way out is to do a CTRL+ALT+Delete and sign out of windows. Major PITA. I've only successfully used ESC once and that's when I first tried it after installing.

2. Less often the game will freeze in the same fashion as #1 during map loading. Again, I have to sign out of windows.

Any insight? Would love to get this working without having to use my old disk.

Just to help with killing the game..Open task manager (now) and in Options menu check Always on Top.Next time the game is blocking the view, you should be able to ctrl+alt+del and choose task manager and actually see task manager in order to kill the game.

Hi&nbsp;@AbC6820a7331644as far as I know BF 1942 is no longer compatible with Windows 10.&nbsp;
