BF2 stats reset

This is about BF2 NOT BF3 as there no way to select a question on BF2 here.

I am an old player who created a new nickname to get a fresh start on the game. I had not been to any padding sites that I know of and was doing well with my stats while playing with other friends.  One day I logged in a saw my rank was not right but this happens a lot thru the years of playing and it usually just fixes itself when you go to a different server. This time it has never come back. I am not a hacker or padder. If anyone has an idea before I have to restart all over again.
