BF3 - Multiplayer "Kicked by punkbuster for 0 minutes..."

Hey everyone,

Pretty common question - I can't play Battlefield 3 multiplayer without getting kicked right away and getting this message:


Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'SliceofBread12' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe

 

So - I've tried some different solutions, inculding re-installing BF3. But the thing is, even the day after I bought and installed BF3, I played for 5 minutes on  a server, then got this message. Now, I get kicked as soon as the loading screen for the map shows up.

 

This is stupid - I can't play multiplayer, I'm starting to get co-op errors.... Come on EA! Please help!

 

Also - in the "Services" part of my computer, I can only find either Pnbuster A or B BUT NEVER AT THE SAME TIME. I think this is the problem, but I have tried re-installing PB and nothing seems to change.

    Instead of looking in the services tab, have you tried looking in the processes tab (also clicking the "show all processes from all users" button) and setting the priority for both of them to "High" or "Real Time"? and have you added BattleField 3 to your game list? by going into the .exe for punkbuster and adding BattleField 3 to it, then check for updates.

    That's all I can think of at the moment, tell me if anything more happens or if it continues.
