BF3 error - view just spins

whenever I try and play BF3 the cursor just points at the sky or the ground and spins. I have recollection of a file needing to be deleted but cannot recall what one/where from - whether from the game folders or the user data folder, adn cannot find a way of contacting tech support at EA. Any ideas?
