Any Plans To Support Linux Again?
A lot of the older Battlefield games support Linux, or have the capacity to run on Linux through WINE (native) or Proton (Steam). 1 year after Battlefield 2042's release, Linux stopped working on the new Battlefield games due to changes in the anti-cheat resulting in them not working anymore. Consumers who bought the game prior, when it did work, suddenly couldnt play the game anymore. I was wondering DICE had plans to go back and support Linux again for Battlefield 2042 and the newer Battlefield Labs (that was just announced). All Battlefield Games Not Launching Fully
Ill make this short.. Any time i try and launch ANY of my Battlefield games, 1.. V.. 2042, battlefront (from steam, and EA launcher) They pop up the loading screen like they are about to launch, then all the sudden it closes. No errors, nothing at all. Is there a fix to this? ive tried about everythingBattlefield 1 doesn't launch
Hi, I'm dealing with a super frustrating issue. I bought Battlefield 1 on Steam and it launched successfully the first time. I played it once with no problems. But ever since then, the game refuses to launch. When I click "Play" on Steam, the EA App opens, the Battlefield 1 splash/loading screen appears for a second, and then everything just closes. No error message, no crash report — nothing. Just a quick flash and it dies silently. Here’s what I’ve tried (none of it worked): - Fully uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App (including clearing AppData and ProgramData folders) - Verified game files via Steam - Tried running both Steam and EA App as administrator - Cleared EA App cache - Re-linked Steam and EA accounts - Tried launching the game directly via EA App - Checked for DirectX and VC++ redistributables - Disabled EA App beta - Even tried a different USB port (since I’m running the game from an external SSD) I also tried all suggested solutions from other forum threads. Nothing works. It makes no sense — if my system was incompatible, why did the game launch fine the first time? It seems like EA App is crashing internally during the handshake with Steam or the game, but I can’t even capture the error message — the window closes before anything shows up. Any help or response from EA would be appreciated. At this point, I’m just really disappointed and tired of troubleshooting a game I paid for. Thanks."Failed to connect to EA Online"
I bought BF1 ages ago and had this issue and it has never been resolved. I have tried everything under the moon to get it to go online My EA App overlay is working fine and is able to search for friends so it's connected2. I just played BFV yesterday and today so no issue there I flushed my DNS Restarted router I restarted my computer I reinstalled the game Changed my DNS to google (8.8.8.8) dxdiag is done Bought EA Play Battlefield V is working fine on my PC but this is the only game having troubles and I am lost. Can someone please help meRepeated disconnects from Battlefield 1
Been having this issue since the update that introduced EA anticheat a few months ago. After playing in any game, any server, for anywhere from 15mins to an hour, will be booted randomly, with the message "YOU HAVE LOST CONNECTION TO THE EA SERVERS. Online features will be unavailable. Please try again. Please check ea.com/unable-to-connect for more information." Upon hitting the "Go Online" button, I immediately am reconnected and can join the same or another server, but will be booted in even less time. Ping is reliably 50-75, no packet loss, hardwired internet, have multiple people on my network both wired and wireless playing this game on different devices who do not have this issue. No firewall trips, full access, have repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled BF1, EA app, and BF4, run countless Steam file verifications, and issue persists. Issue does not happen on BF4. I have 300 hours in this game, love it to death and back, and it is now unplayable. Any help appreciated.my BF1 account banned unfairly. Site and support not working properly.
Hello, my account banned in battlefield 1 ! i have opened a case on the website, but I am unable to respond to your messages there due to a technical issue on your side — there is no place to reply. Therefore, I am replying via email. The support has been very poor and unhelpful — you are not providing real assistance. Case Number: #217070009 Here is my issue: I am a long-time Battlefield player and my account is very old. However, I haven’t played Battlefield 1 for around 6–7 years, maybe even longer. Now, when I tried to play again, I was shocked to find that my account is banned for no reason. This is unfair and unjust — there are no words to describe the injustice I’ve experienced. I have never used any cheating software — the ban was completely uncalled for. Even on your website, it shows that my account has no active bans, but when I try to play, I get a message saying my account is banned. In the case, I have attached two images that support my statements. However, I cannot continue responding to the open case due to a glitch in your website. Please take immediate action to lift the ban on my account. Thank you. It’s been going on for a long time. I get disconnected in every other session, which makes the game pretty much unplayable. I cannot find out what may be the issue here. Things that I tried: - launch from the EA client - clear the EA app cash - check local files (steam) - DNS change - Firewall is not blocking the apps - tried with both Ethernet and Wifi, yet they yield the same exact results Furthermore, no other online vg gives me any similar issues. My ping is always in the range of 25-50. Is the issue solvable at all at this point? I checked the forums and haven’t seen anything that could have helped.
