BF3/ Origin support in UAE

Hey guys

it appears that EA or origin have a problem with UAE's ISP which is etisalate. that been said, users from that provider cant download or update their BF3 game.

I have read some other threads and there is nostright  fix. I tried almost every thing, the only fix was to connect to a VPN which is not a solution, I shouldnt pay more to get the updates that reducleous !

Today I bought a VPN trail to insall the updates, so next time should I pay to get a VPN and get those downloads ??

So please EA/Origin please fix this problem.

    For all those in the UAE suffering the dreaded update or download problems I found this has worked everytime.

    1. Go to http://www.justfreevpn.com/

    2. Setup the US or UK Free VPN.

    3. Once set-up connect the VPN.

    4. Start Origin and the update / intended download will start.

    5. You will get a slow D/L speed (I get 30 - 60 kb/s), once it has started downloading I disconnect the free VPN and Origin continues downloading but maxes out my 1.6MB/s download 😕mileyvery-happy:

    So far I have updated BF3 and Medal of Honor Warfighter with no probs and all the BF3 Premium Expansion packs this way.

    *** Note, the password for these free VPN's change on a daily basis, a pain in the rear end I know but one you can live with as the updates etc are not that often.

    Good luck and hope it works for anyone out there having this problem.
