BF3 PC - Wireless XBox 360 Controller doesn't work

I played BF3 from launch until about April, and at that time my XBox wireless controller worked perfectly. I used it for the aircraft. I just came back for Armored Kill, and I can't get the game to recognize the controller. The key bindings for it are assigned, and I have verified the controller works fine with other games. What gives?

**UPDATE** I tried a wired xbox controller, too. It works in other games fine, but it is unresponsive in BF3.

**UPDATE 2** A thread in Answer HQ suggested uninstalling the drivers and restarting, which I did. No change. Neither the wired or wireless controllers work in BF3 PC. Both still work in other games.
