BF3 server status and new installation

I purchased and installled BF3 PC on 5/22/14. I was unable to play the game after installation. I texted with an EA rep and she said it was because the servers are down. Well its 3 days later and I still cant play. I googled BF3 servers and it seems there are game servers running but no the EA servers. Does anybody have any idea if this is going to get resolved? Sorry if this has been asked - I looked but did not find an answer. I have BF3 XBOX, BF4, and BF2 and those games will play. Any help would be appreciated.

I just spent an hour with EA tech support and the problem is solved. They deleted my installation and assigned a new activation code. Not sure exactly what the problem was but solved now.

The servers are not down, I just played some games on PC. The webpage here: https://www.ea.com/servers/battlefield3 has not updated in 6 months and currently says that they are down which is most likely what the rep (who obviously doesn't play BF titles) said what he\she did).

If you are not finding games you must play around with the server browser filter. I remember there were a few counter intuitive things that I actually found more servers if I did not check look for Premium servers so try that and if it doesn't work come back and we'll figure something else out.

Thanks for the reply. Here is what I have done. Installed BF3 PC. It shows on my origin account. When I click "Play" battlelog launches. I see Battlefield 3 Premium at the top but on the left side I see Soldier XBOX 360. I suspect that is the problem. How do I change it to BF3 PC? You would think Amit at EA would have had a clue. Thanks again!
