BF4 Admin Abuse through sound files?

I don't mean to aggravate servers or their admins with my intensity while gaming. I do, however, have an excess of game time most do not have the luxury of. More than once I have out-ranked most clan members on their own servers. Although "port kicking" was the norm for a while; a new method seems to be arising.

This begins with them identifying you by getting you to talk, apparently when they are ready to watch. Scoff if you will, three times I have noticed this in the last 2 weeks.

First they have a person come in your squad and spur you into talking. Somehow this gives them a reference point. Shortly after a very loud, static noise over comes you and the game is unplayable. The only fix is to leave the server and rejoin. Which oddly enough has been queued 4 or more almost every time.

This cannot just be a glitch. It typically happens after 3 or more wins in a row in which I had MVP or top score on my team. It only happens on servers I frequently play on and have a reputation. At least once; I had a clanner come in my squad,  ask "who is talking"  and leave shortly after a reply then the sound issue would begin.

This is not the only form of griefing players by admin abuse. I have personally experienced: people sent into my squad to be verbally abusive until I left. People chasing me all game team killing, partial damaging, throwing ammo/health kits on my beacons, team switching my squadmates ( but rarely my platoonmates)....etc.

Although the later mentioned issues are people problems the sound file abuse I suspect should be worth looking into.

This is getting out of hand. Today the regular griefer scenario started. I had a guy come in my squad and after I asked him to follow orders he began to verbally harass me. Nothing new on RTR servers. I kicked him twice and had to private my squad. He then proceeded to abuse me in chat.

This is where the admin abuse started.

After I asked for some help from an admin and stated my case I saw them type something similar to this " !mm... tankm" . The player that was harassing me

name began with the later part.

Within seconds I got an error that froze my game. Requiring a ctrl-alt-del to exit an error that said something to the extent " getdevice.removedevice.failure... then my video card type"

Also my sound card was disabled and will have to be physically removed for it to re-detect it. A procedure I have found repetitious enough to have to leave the side of my case off. But it only happens in BF4, only happens during MP, only happens when the griefing is high and typically when I am winning.

I had suspicions that this was admin abuse due the timing of the events for months now. Now that a griefing event, admin behaviors, and the 2 devices losing detection all at once; this must be malicious behavior.

As is appears EA has apparently left peoples computers open and ripe for abuse through admin access to what ever files they can do this with. I may not now how but the events and timing speak clearly. This needs to be addressed immediately.

  • I doubt that these guys are causing your game to crash in order to grief you. Can you post your PC specs and OS? Have you tried rolling back your GPU driver to the last version that worked successfully or upgrading it to the latest version if a new version is out?

You also might want to try this solution for the direct X error that you are receiving and then come back and tell us if it worked. If not we'll see what else we can do in order to assist you in fixing your problem.

I had the same exact situation come up, my game would crash, a static or buzzing sound would come through the speakers and the same error message would pop up.  I ended up having to replace my GPU and motherboard as it was failing.  I replaced it and the errors, crashes, and buzzing\static sounds went away so testing your Motherboard and GPU may be in order.

You also might want to update your sound card driver if using an onboard sound card too as friends of mine state that they've seen similar errors coming from that.

how does one go about testing to see if the gpu or mobo is having issues that causes crashing? i've done too many things from too many lists to try and fix this game on my side to keep count of.
