BF4 AMD driver crashes on Windows 7 with newest drivers

My system:

Intel Core i5 4670K

12 gb DDR 3 1333 RAM

Sapphire Dual-X R9 280X 3gb GDDR5

Windows 7 ultimate (64bit)

With the boxed AMD driver 13.6 I got some weird renderings and errors/crashes with DirectX as mentioned in other forum topics. Now I tried the 13.9 and 13.11 beta drivers and the DirectX problem appears to be fixed. However, with both newer drivers I get the same problem: AMD display driver is not responding and has recovered. With multiplayer I can usually play for about 10 minutes, and single player is completely impossible as it crashes during the very first conversation with NPCs. Strangely the conversation keeps rolling but the screen turns blank. Every time I have to go to task manager to shut BF4 down from there.

How can I fix this? I read that most driver updates focus on problems with Windows 8, but I keep having the same problem with Windows 7. And it doesn't happen with any other graphically demanding games.

Same.  I bought the game yesterday. I have a 6950, ran game like a charm on ultra, was so happy... THEN CRASH.  It is strange, I got a black screen with the little loading blip in the upper right hand corner, thought map was loading, then desktop.  No error message, nothing.  EA just says NOPE every time I get 5 minutes into a round.  Interestingly, my new laptop with an Nvidia GTX 260m runs the game fine (albiet on LOW settings).  Cmon EA, I bought the game, at least give me a goddamn error message when it crashes rather than leaving me wonder whether I somehow pressed Alt+F4 while pwning noobs.

IMO, they're just afraid that my MONSTER RIG will scare off the noobs, and know that since I have seen the graphics, I must play more.  They're letting noobs get better and not quit because they get headshotted no matter what they do.

EDIT: I'm running the latest Beta11 Drivers from AMD and running windows 7.  I have no idea what to do...

I'm getting error messages all the time. I got an update but that didn't help a bit. I guess 5 minutes of play time is the best I get. Damn shame I spent so much money on the premium version as it's just unplayable like this. Looks like the game was released in too much of a rush...

I think this is related to overclock on gpu not getting enough voltage. It only happens to me when OCing and have seemed to go away when increasing vddc.

I didn't overclock it yet. I bought the 4670K because I might want to do that in the future.
