The commander app is only for PS4 and not PS3 so that won't work for trouble shooting purposes. Often when apps suddenly don't work either there's a new version (which may indeed requires you to update your iOS to 7 - but the app store will tell you), it's corrupted, or they are working on a new version to be released shortly.
The only thing that you can do is to uninstall the Commander app and then reinstall it. That worked when my iOS Battlelog app had similar problems - the fresh install of the app made it work properly.

- ApprovedAnonymous12 years agoI've found other threads in which it's acknowledged as a common problem on both the IOS and Android version of the apps, ever since the 30 January update. DICE / EA are already looking into it. No update on when problem will be addressed. just as an aside, i had already uninstalled and reinstalled.

- ApprovedAnonymous12 years agoFor the record, I had a PS3 and recently upgraded to the PS4, and the Commander app does in fact work for PS3 users. However you don't get the VOIP option to talk to your squads if you're a PS3 user. You also can't use the mini map option through the Battlelog app on you iPad either if you are a PS3 user, but that's it. Everything else works.
As for this issue being discussed, I have all of the same exact issues as the OP and they started at the same time as the Jan 30 update. The HVT glitch though is nice because you can label them constantly which is an easy 50 points + points for the kill which leads to big points. I had over 10,000 points as Commander in my last match :P
EA -please fix the problem though ASAP!
