BF4 COMMANDER GUNSHIP RIBBON requirements changed?? (regression??)

I've been recently playing some as commander on maps that have the Gunship that the commander can deploy. However, I have noticed either a bug, or they changed the requirements for it without letting the community know about it.

Before the most recent patch, to get 1 COMMANDER GUNSHIP RIBBON, you needed to deploy 2 gunships in a round. Now it seems that you need to deploy 3 gunships to get the award. Is this a bug, did somebody change the requirement without knowledge, or was this a planned change and was forgotten to be mentioned in the change log?? Currently, the awards page still says 'Deploy 2 gunships as Commander' for the ribbon.

If this is a mistake, please fix it ASAP!!

(PC BF4 user BTW, but most of the time, command on my Android tablet)

    I'm encounetering the same issue and it started when the Battlefest double XP event just started.

    ok, so i wasnt crazy!! I noticed that this past week too. I thought it was 3-4 gunship deploys before the ribbon came out. It just started happenin too. It use to be 2, and on the award page, it says 2 still. Why the hell would they change that? Of all the things they wanna work on, they change the damn gunship award??? I think they got better things to work on than that!

    Either they changed the requirements without changing the listings or some programmer screwed up the game code update. Either way, we missed out on a lot of points and ribbon counts toward the medal.

    oh and i got a couple scout heli metals while I was commander on my ipad this weekend. Talk about GOOD!!!

    I think some programer might have just changed the 2 to a 3 for a laugh.  Well, I wish they would put it back ASAP.  Driving me nuts when I'm commander.

    Had it happen again last night.  Team was a bad one and couldn't hold onto the Gunship flag.  Thus, only was able to launch it twice, which should have given me the 'Commander Gunship Ribbon', but didn't because it if for some odd reason having to be 3 that need to be launched now.

    Can you please respond EA/DICE?  This is really annoying to us who play as commanders alot.

    This is extremely annoying. I'm trying to earn the medal so I can get enough points to rank up but this issue driving me nuts and wasting my time.

    Just tried out a map as commander after the new patch and this IS NOT FIXED yet.  I was just barely able to deploy two gunships in a round (team sucked) and didn't get the ribbon.  So, it's still taking more than 2 deployed gunships to get this ribbon.

    Not happy.  Makes playing the gunship maps as commander not worth my time.  Especially with the new cooldown period for the Gunship.  Either put the requirement back to 2, or update Battlelog to mention it takes 3 now for the ribbon..........
